In this second part of The Power of Prayer, I want to share making the power of prayer work for you.
First, in the Power of Prayer Unity Booklet, I found another quote to describe prayer:
The power of prayer comes from attuning to the divine energy that is already there, ready and waiting.
So how do you attune into the divine energy? There are several ways:
- Maintaining a state of gratitude: When you can see the goodness of life, you see more goodness and more blessings come to you. I have published several articles on the power of gratitude. You can find them here: Gratitude.
- Practicing forgiveness: Being in a state of forgiveness for yourself and others opens you to a greater spiritual experience. Your heart and soul are open when you practice forgiveness. You can find more articles on this subject here: Forgiveness.
- Visualizing your prayers: When you can visualize your prayers, you feel them more deeply. And when you feel them more deeply, Spirit works through you to manifest them. You can find more articles describing this process here: Visualization.
- Daily spiritual practices: Spending time in spiritual reading, contemplation, and meditation makes the power of prayer more real in your life. You can read articles on spiritual practices here: Meditation; and here: Spiritual Study.
Another thought from the Power of Prayer Unity booklet:
Prayer isn’t a thing for me to do anymore, it’s a thing for me to be.
Prayer is not just a task or practice to engage in; it becomes something great and wonderful within you.
The above suggestions are just a shortlist to get you started implementing to make the power of prayer work for you.
Next article, I will share some new resources I am launching to move you closer to understanding and using the power of prayer in your life.
