Following is one in a series of articles based on the words of New Thought leaders — current or past.
New Thought Inspiration from Oprah Winfrey
Oprah Gail Winfrey (born January 29, 1954) is an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist. She is best
known for her talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show, which was the highest-rated television program of its kind in history and was nationally syndicated from 1986 to 2011 in Chicago, Illinois. Dubbed the “Queen of All Media”, she has been ranked the richest African-American, the greatest black philanthropist in American history, and is currently North America’s first and only multi-billionaire black person.
“Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody’s going to know whether you did it or not.”
Remember when you were a little person and you thought you could get away with getting into the cookie
jar or other such childish escapades. After all, if nobody saw you do it, it wouldn’t matter.
Of course, many of us who tried that didn’t realize that mom and dad have been around a bit longer than us and knew more about what we do then we realize!!
So, we grow up understanding that real integrity is more important than short term gain or ‘what we can get away with’ for the moment.
People are smarter than we think and they know real integrity — even if we can fool them for the moment.
Assure yourself a good night sleep by doing what is right — even if no one is watching!!
One last pearl of wisdom from Oprah:
