September: Celebration Month!

September is typically a month full of celebrations, but this year I am renaming it Celebration Month!

Here are some of the wonderful things I am celebrating:

  • My oldest son finally found himself a wonderful woman and was married on Monday, September 21. He kept the whole thing rather quiet and low-key right from the time they got engaged. They had a Judge marry them, so no wedding! Still worth celebrating! Congratulations, Grant and Tammy!
  • September 23 was my birthday. I woke up to over three dozen happy birthday wishes through text and on Facebook. But that was only the start! By the end of the day, there were over 100 happy birthday wishes! I never realized how many friends I have until times like this! Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday! (And thanks to my husband who took me out for a meal and a hot fudge Sunday — an indulgence I have only once or twice a year!)
  • September 28 is Malcolm’s (my husband) and my 30th Wedding Anniversary! That alone is worth a big celebration. This year, we are planning to visit my sister-in-law, her husband, and their family. While we are there, we will celebrate my stepdaughter’s birthday on September 29. Also, my closest and long-time friend, whom I have known since I was 7, is taking me out on Wednesday, September 20. We have not seen each other in nearly six years, so I am looking forward to seeing her again. It will be fun to celebrate with her.

But besides the special dates and events above, what I am celebrating most is that I have lived long enough and well enough to share the love with all these people.

I am also very thankful for the wonderful life I have experienced and shared with so many beautiful souls.

So come celebrate with me, if only in your heart! I will appreciate the sentiments!

PS. Due to all the celebrations, I am not sure how soon I will post again! In the meantime, feel free to read any of my past articles here

Spread the love and share with your friends:
