Setting intentions to move forward in any direction in life has the power to manifest significant results.
Now, notice, I said: Setting intentions! Not developing goals or resolutions.
So what is the difference?
You are more likely to take action on intentions.
When our home burned down and some of our business with it, I set new intentions. Of course, we needed to find a new home and settle in for the holidays (we moved into our new place in mid-November.) After the holidays were over, I started making intentions.
Some would look at our situation and say we did not have a choice in the matter because of the fire. But I say that it was a privilege to spend time thinking and praying through what I really wanted in life and what direction I wanted to move in my business.
Before anything really transpired, I stopped writing newsletters to my Selling Wholesale business. Due to the economy and COVID, it was just not productive for me to continue. I was making a way to expand my time and attention in other areas.
While praying with my prayer partner, I discovered that there were two venues I wanted to pursue. So we prayed together in pursuing those two intentions for my new life.
It seemed uncanny that within weeks, doors opened for me in both of these venues. I started getting invitations and offers to do the very work I set my intentions to do. Some of these offers came as a result of sharing my intentions with friends and acquaintances. Others came due to my networking with the very people who had the opportunities open for me and my skills.
All this because I set clear intentions for what I wanted and allowed Spirit to lead me in the direction I needed to go.
