Peace on Earth

With the many religious holidays and traditions, we can be overly busy during the holiday season.  But sometimes, during all the planning, we miss the meaning behind Christmas.  What about the story of Peace on Earth?  Where does our peace go when we are so busy?

Over time, I decided to stop all the craziness and consumerism around Christmas.  I am sure you know about the retail frenzy and stress of decorating, baking, sending out cards …. and the list goes on.

I find myself finding happiness by recognizing and participating in creating peace on earth — or at least in my little corner of the world.

Peace is

Peace on Earth

… gazing at the stars with the knowledge that you know their creator.

… closing your eyes in sleep without fear of tomorrow.

… the stillness in your heart when trouble swirls around you.

… a quiet mind in a raging world.

This year, in particular, I decided to facilitate the December 19th Meditation for World Peace & Harmony.  (If you are not familiar with this event, check out my article from November:  World Peace & Harmony Project).

My wish for this holiday season is to spread peace on earth.  Being a part of this project is one of the ways I can participate in spreading peace and harmony throughout the world.

Maybe by our group endeavors, we will make a dent in the chaos we see around us. Perhaps we can spread a bit of Christmas cheer by unifying as one with each other in Spirit and focusing on peace.

I want to invite you to join us this Sunday, December 19th, at 6:00 Pacific Time to find your peace on earth.  There is no cost and no obligation beyond meditating on World Peace & Harmony.

I can’t think of a better way to engage in the Christmas holiday season than to join in and meditate on peace for the world.  How about you?  Will you join us?

More details, including a signup box to register, are listed here:  World Peace Meditation.
