Following is one in a series of articles based on the words of New Thought leaders — current or past.
Today’s quote is based on Dr. Wayne Dyer book: 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace
New Thought Inspiration from Dr. Wayne Dyer

Wayne Walter Dyer (May 10, 1940 – August 29, 2015) was an American self-help author and a motivational speaker. His first book, Your Erroneous Zones (1976), is one of the best-selling books of all time, with an estimated 35 million copies sold to date.
“Have a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing.”
I love Dr. Dyer’s wisdom and the ’10 secrets’ he outlines in this particular book!
I was first introduced to Dr. Wayne Dyer (and this book) in the late 1990s. Killing time in a Barnes & Noble bookstore, his book of ’10 Secrets’ really spoke to me. His quotes and secrets were so inspiring that I bought his book on the spot.
According to Dyer, when you first tackle a particular challenge in life, staying open minded and attaching to nothing helps you move in the direction that manifests your best good.
Personally, I have experienced many times when I unsuccessfully, tried to approach a challenge in my own way — forgetting to pray, forgetting to trust the Universe, and forgetting that all works out for my best good when I allow Spirit to move.
Sometimes, this means setting the issue aside for the moment, centering myself and going about my day without seeking a solution. When I maintain peace and trust, I can go to sleep without worry or stress. Most of the time, the solution comes to me during the night or first thing in the morning. All I needed to do is relax and let go!
One last quote from Dyer’s book:
“You can’t solve a problem with the same mind that created it.”
