Setting Loving Intentions

Great inspiration comes to me when I am setting loving intentions. Sometimes I forget that spreading goodness in the world comes first from intentions set from a loving heart. Regularly reminding myself to be aware of this makes my life beautiful.

Today’s Science of Mind Daily Guide was my reminder today. This is a quote from the June 19, 2026, article: Infuse Love with Intention.

Today, let your awareness be intentional. Before you begin a task, pause, breathe and set a loving intention. Let love become the tone of your interactions and the gentle texture of your thoughts. In this way, the simplest chores become opportunities for devotion. Washing dishes becomes a flowing prayer. Checking a message becomes an act of caring presence. Mornings become a sacred dawn. Daily life, lived with spirit and attention, reveals that love’s heartbeat is already present in every moment.

Reading the above passage lightened my spirit and inspired me to be more aware of the power of setting loving intentions every morning.

I read inspirational articles in the morning before I start my day. It is grounding for me before jumping into the work I need to do during the day. But after that, I tend to forget to see my life as an opportunity to set a loving intention. Most of the time, I see the day’s tasks as things I need to do. Of course, this is true, but I typically don’t become more aware during these tasks.

My husband dislikes housework. Typically, I don’t mind it. But now I see this in a new light. Washing the dishes or vacuuming the floor is my way of showing love to myself and my husband.

Also, I am a freelancer, working independently for a few spiritual centers and focus ministries. I enjoy my work, so I don’t need much motivation. But when things become difficult, I will remember to renew my intention to express love for my work, the people I work with, and the tasks that I perform for them.

What a wonderful way to inspire myself and then spread that to those around me!

Can you join me in this inspiring practice? Next time you take on a big project, especially if it is challenging, stop, become aware, and set a loving intention for what you want to accomplish. If you find inspiration in this new practice, please share it with us. It will encourage and remind everyone around you to do the same!
